The treatment

A consultation and medical screening are completed first. If suitable, a cannula is inserted and the infusion is administered in clinic. Some patients report feeling hydrated or refreshed, but responses vary and benefits are not guaranteed.

Possible risks

Bruising, discomfort at cannula site, infection, vein irritation, dizziness or fainting, allergic reaction, fluid overload in unsuitable patients, electrolyte imbalance depending on formulation. Unsuitable in certain medical conditions.
